Our History
Christ the Word began meeting for worship in early 2002. Later that year the church officialy joined the Presbyterian Church in America and its founding elders were installed as PCA ruling elders.
Christ the Word has met for worship in one location since its founding--the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Toledo. In 2006 Christ the Word purchased twenty acres on Central Avenue as the site of its future home.
The Reformed Evangelical Pastor's College began as a joint ministry of Christ the Word and Church of the Good Shepherd in Bloomington, Indiana, in the fall of 2005. The number of current students and graduates now approaches twenty, with three of 2008's first graduating class of four men having received pastoral calls from Reformed churches.
