Creeds and Confessions: Christ the Word is a "confessional" church, which means that we adhere to a variety of ecumenical creeds and Reformed confessions of the Church. Though creeds and confessions do not carry the authoritative weight of Scripture and are fallible where Scripture is infallible, we regard such creeds as the Apostles' Creed and confessions such as the Westminster Confession of Faith to embody accurate descriptions of the teaching of God's authoritative Word.
