Day In BG Details

Dear Day in BG Participants!

We are looking forward to a fun day romping around BG and exploring some of its unique sights.  We will begin by meeting at 9:15 am at the Windfarm which is located off of Route 6, west of BG.  You can't miss the big windmills swirling around!!  The physical address of the windfarm is the same as the landfill,
15320 Tontogany Road.  Please arrive on time so that we can begin our tour promptly at 9:30 am. 

From the windfarm, we will head over to the landfill to learn about where our garbage goes after it gets whisked away by the garbage truck.  Then we will drive over to the recycling center on College Street (we will form a caravan) and explore the options of reusing our garbage instead of putting it in the dump.  (Although personally speaking, landfills pay the bills at the Heyerly house!!)

When we are done at the recycling center, we will head to City Park, which is west of Main Street on Conneaut Avenue.  For those of you who are in a rush that morning and don't have time to pack a lunch, Wendy's in BG has $1.99 kids meals (adults can buy them too!!).

The kids can play and eat until about 2:00 pm, when those who signed up for the Wood County Historical Museum will go on our quest of "the fingers" and other unique treasures of Wood County.  The Wood County Museum is located at:

The cost for the WCHM is $2/person age 5 and older.  Please bring your payment to the museum to pay there.
