Youth Retreat 2010

As we get ready to attend another great youth retreat there are a few details that need to be brought to your attention:

-Youth need to be at the church office by 5:15 p.m. on Friday, February 12 ready to be loaded into vans for the approximately 1 hour drive to the camp.

-The address of the camp is 6941 N. Stoney Lake Road, Jackson, MI  49201 and the phone number to get in touch with someone in an emergency is the camp director's, Nancy Burger's, work cell phone # 517-262-7705 - she has this with her all the time day/night.

-The youth will arrive home on Sunday at approximately 9:30 p.m. when they should be picked up at the church office.

-Due to popular demand, youth will have the opportunity to draw on and sign each other’s t-shirts if desired. If your youth would like to do this, they will need to bring a plain white t-shirt. We will provide plenty of fabric markers.

Packing List To Bring:

  1. Bible
  2. (Optional) Bring a white T-shirt which youth can draw on and sign (fabric markers will be provided)
  3. Plenty of warm clothing (more than 1 outfit a day - we will be sledding and having snowball fights and your cloths will get wet- we do not want any cases of pneumonia!)
  4. Sleeping bag or bedding for a bunk bed/pillow
  5. Towels and washcloths
  6. Toiletries (toothpaste, tooth brush, shampoo, deodorant, etc...)
  7. Garbage bag for dirty/wet cloths
  8. Snow boots or a change of shoes for outdoor play
  9. A heart that is open to GOD

Things Not Allowed:

  1. No cell phones or portable or personal music players, portable game consoles, or anything similar
  2. No tobacco, drug, or alcoholic products are allowed at anytime
  3. No pranks are allowed
