The WOW Iron 2 Iron Book Club will be meeting this summer to discuss three different books. We would love for you to join us for the discussions; however, this summer we want to add a special invitation…please bring at least one (or more!) friend who does not attend Christ the Word with you. Our book club discussions are a wonderful venue for inviting a friend who may not know the Lord or who may be new in her Christian walk. We have chosen three books this year that should lend themselves well for people at all stages of the spiritual journey. If you have never attended the Book Club before, we read one book a month and then meet once per book for discussion. Any questions regarding the books or discussions can be directed to Wendy Foulke. You are invited to a spring craft night on Thursday March 25 at Diane Walls home. The time will be from 7-10 p.m. If you would like to learn a new craft you can choose to make a felted spring candle mat. The cost of the kit, minus a candle, will be $5.50 and must be paid for before we meet. There will be a sign up sheet and envelopes to pay and put into the box in the narthex. Many have enjoyed our last two craft nights and we have another opportunity for you to be a part in March on Thursday the 25. We will be learning the buttonhole embroidery stitch by making a spring felt candle mat. A kit can be purchased for $5.50. A sample will be on the table in the narthex this Sunday. You are able to park in either neighbor's drive way to the north or south. The neighbor to the north has a circular drive so that might be easier to use. If you would like to learn to bead weave a bracelet you can see Diane Walls and she will make a kit of beads for you along with showing you how to make it. The WOW committee has now been restructured into five committees with chairpersons being a part of the WOW committee. Those committee’s are Teaching, Communication, Retreat, Outreach and Fellowship (More info will be in the July Gazette). There will be a limited number of spaces available on each committee for people to serve. If you would like to be considered or for more information please contact Diane Walls by phone or by email diane@christtheword.com by July 5th.

Have you ever thought you would like to study the book of Ecclesiastes? Well now is your chance. A summer 8 week study of Ecclesiastes will be held on Wednesday nights starting May 27th at Diane Walls’ home. We can’t believe there are only three days between us and the Women’s Retreat! We are excited to fellowship with one another and hear what Nancy Wilson has to say about “The Feminine Heart”. There are a few things you should know before you head out to The Heritage Inn at Sauder Village.

How to Get There…

Take I-80/90 west to Turnpike Exit 25. Turn left (south) at the exit onto State Route 66. Continue on State Route 66 for 4 miles. Turn left on State Route 2. Continue on State Route 2 to The Heritage Inn.

When to Get There....

We can begin checking into our rooms at 3:00 pm. At 5:15 pm we will begin congregating at The Barn restaurant (a short 5-10 minute walk from the hotel) in order to be ready for our meal which starts at 5:30 pm.

Books, Books, and More Books…

The books “Praise Her in The Gates”, “Fruit of Her Hands”, “Building Her House”, and “Reforming Marriage” will be offered for sale at the retreat. While these books typically sell for $12.00 plus shipping, we are able to offer them for only $8.00. What a deal! A few church cookbooks might be available as well. Payment can be made by check or cash.

We are getting excited about the Fellowship and teaching that await us in three short weeks! Please be praying that the Lord will prepare our hearts to hear what Nancy Wilson has to say about "The Feminine Heart". If you would like to know with whom you are rooming please see Sarah French or Julie Morgan. Although a light snack will be served Friday night, we would encourage you to think of a tasty treat to bring and share. This might be especially important if you plan to stay up until all hours.
