Living Word Youth
LWY meets each Wednesday to study God's Word, to pray and to encourage one another in the faith. Living Word Youth is for youth grades 7-12. Group members serve, work on projects and enjoy fun outings throughout the year.
Living Word Youth meet at Mario and Lisa Dominguez' house each Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. unless a special event is planned elsewhere.
The 2007 LWY Amazing Race is this Saturday, June 2
All entrance dues of $10 must be paid by this Wednesday, May 30. The start time for the event is 8:30 am this Saturday at Wildwood Park in front of the white pavillion. The expected finish time is 2:30 pm at the Bayly home. The Bayly family has invited all participants to swim following the event. If your child would like to swim please have them bring a towel and their swim clothes (no two piece bathing suits). Your child can be picked up any time following the Amazing Race, but should be picked up by 4:30 pm if they choose to swim. Hopefully pictures of last year's event will be posted here soon!
Brief LWY Parent Meeting following Worship this Sunday
All parents of 7th-12th grade youth, including those entering 7th grade in the fall are invited to this brief 10 minute meeting beginning about five minutes after worship ends. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall to discuss upcoming LWY activities and events.
LWY Parent Meeting Moved
The parents meeting that was scheduled for Thursday has been moved to this Sunday, May 20th after the morning worship service in the fellowship hall.
LWY Youth to Serve at Cherry St. Mission this Saturday
This Saturday, May 19 Senior High (9-12th grade) will be serving at Cherry St. Mission from 10 am till 1:15 pm. Donated items will be sorted, some cleaning of the facility will be done, and the afternoon lunch will be served by our group. If someone is in need of transportation please contact Scott Killy no later than this Wednesday in order to make arrangements.
Reminder: LWY Parents Meeting this Thursday, May 17
All parents of 7th - 12th grade youth, including those entering 7th grade in the fall are invited to a Living Word Youth parents meeting this Thursday, May 17th at 7 pm at the Dominguez home. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss upcoming LWY activities and events. The Dominguez home is located at 9035 Salisbury Rd in Monclova, OH. If you have any questions please contact Scott Killy. LWY Workday at the Dominguez Home this Wednesday, May 9
As a sign of our great appreciation to the Dominguez family for allowing us to use their home each week this Wednesday has been set aside as a workday at their home. We will meet and end at our normal time. Please come with the proper clothing for planting flowers and mulching. Praise God for this opportunity to show our appreciation.
