Living Word Youth

LWY meets each Wednesday to study God's Word, to pray and to encourage one another in the faith. Living Word Youth is for youth grades 7-12. Group members serve, work on projects and enjoy fun outings throughout the year.

Living Word Youth meet at Mario and Lisa Dominguez' house each Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. unless a special event is planned elsewhere.

What's Happening at Living Word Youth

The Trinity

We had a great (albeit short) discussion this week on the trinity at youth group. Recently, Mars Hill Church in Seattle posted this interesting lesson on the implications of trinitarian theology. There are many reasons for us to study this deep and profound topic, but the two that stick out in my mind are:
  1. Because we love Him and need to know Him more. To know our savior, our redeemer, our eternal husband is better than anything else we can ever know.
  2. To spot false gospels and false gods. We can't possibly study all the false religions in the world, but if we know our shepherd's voice, we will not be led astray.
Love,
Mr. P.

Dear LWY, we encourage you to turn in your Early Bird Special form and money as SOON as you can. The deadline: September 26th, 2007. One other short reminder, for the LWY who have an e-mail address, I encourage you to sign up for the Automatic Update. HOW? Look at the right side of the page, just below the Archives box, and it is called: Email Subscription. Type in your e-mail address in the empty box and click Subscribe. Simple. Ben Bayly Update

Well, we praise the Lord, that Ben Bayly is doing well even though he has much recovery to go and needs your prayers. It appears he will have to have a cast on for a few months. At 6am yesterday morning, he had surgery at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Toledo, OH. The doctors ended up putting two Titanium rods and screws in his leg, which will be there for the rest of his life unless he joins the military. Praise the Lord, he is now home today!
Please continue to keep our dear brother in Christ, Ben Bayly, in your prayers!  May we be doing what Paul did for his brothers and sisters as he writes in
Philippians 1:3-5 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy,
because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
