Upcoming LWY Meetings

Unless otherwise noted LWY will continue meeting at the Dominguez home for regular weekly meetings. November 15th LWY will meet at a special time (TBD) at the Guthrie home for our annual clearing of the leaves! There will be no meeting the 22nd of Nov. due to Thanksgiving. The Dominguez home is located at 9035 Salisbury Rd Monclova OH.

CTW Emergency Number

If you are part of the CTW family and need to contact a pastor in an emergency, please call (877) 234-0590. This toll-free number will forward your call to the cell phones of staff members, pastor's college students, and elders and deacons who will be able to help with your need. Please note that this number is only for emergencies and only for those who are part of CTW. All other calls should be made to the church office.

Messiah Sing-Along Prep

Beginning next week after our morning service, you are invited to sing choruses from Handel’s Messiah. Please gather around the piano just after the service and we’ll sing our hearts out. We’ll do the same thing after each of the morning services during the month of November.

Nursery Workers Needed for Dec. 24

Nursery volunteers are needed for the Dec. 24th service. If you are able to serve on this day, please contact Marcia James.

CTW Returns to Biloxi...

CTW is considering sending another team of men to continue reconstruction efforts along the Gulf Coast. Katrina damage is far from repaired and MTNA is requesting more teams to come to the region. If you are interesting and able to make the trip somewhere around late February, please contact Andrew Dionne or Marc Brunner.

WOW 2007 Retreat

Starting on November 1st you have 10 months to save your change for the 2007 WOW Retreat which will take place September 21 & 22. That would mean you need to get out your bank and put $6.50 cents in it every month. This will be an event you don't want to miss so start planning and praying now.

CTW's Long Range Plan Foundation

At Christ the Word's annual congregational meeting on Sunday evening October 15, CTW's session introduced a document which will serve, DV, as the basis of CTW's strategic plan for the next three years (until September 2009). That document can be downloaded here.

If you weren't able to attend the meeting, please download this document to become acquainted with what the elders believe are the steps we must take to fulfill our mission of developing a corporate life of faithful worship and promoting the establishment of foundational fatherhood in church, home and society.

CTW is Seeking a Coordinator

Homeschool Meeting Tuesday Oct. 17

We Mourn with Our Sister Jeannie Alexander with the Passing of Her Father

We mourn with the Alexander family and pray for comfort as they deal with the death of Jeannie Alexander's father, George Grech, who past away Saturday. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Irenaeus Church located at 771 Old Perch Road Rochester Hills MI 48309.

Funeral Arrangements for Miriam's Mother

We continue to pray for comfort for Miriam Oswalt in the loss of her mother, Sarah Bair, and trust God will use her as a source of strength and comfort to the rest of her family. Miriam should be arriving in Toledo tonight. This is an answer to prayer that she would arrive in time for her mother's funeral tomorrow.

Visitation for Miriam's mother is tonight (Tuesday) at Burr Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. Burr Funeral Home is located at 225 E. High St. Bryan OH 43506.

The Funeral is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at New Hope Community Church located at 15627 US Hwy 127 Bryan OH 43506.

CTW Benevolence Policy

Christ the Word's deacon board was asked by CTW's session to determine a policy for our approach to meeting the needs of CTW members and attenders. In early 2005 the deacon board delivered a report to the session based on months of deliberation. It was accepted by CTW's session in early 2005.
