Announcements from March 11 Bulletin
Update: Bone Marrow Drive for Abigail Morgan
The bone marrow drive for Abigail Morgan has been postponed. Praise God for the six potential matches that have been found for Abigail through the current registry. We may plan to have a drive in the future, so please stay posted.
March 14: CTW Annual Skate Night
CTW’s annual skate night is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Swanton Coliseum . Admission is free. You can bring your own roller blades or skates, if you need to rent skates there is a $2.50 fee. Swanton Coliseum is located at 12725 Airport Hwy in Swanton OH 43558. Hope to see you there!
April 21: Father/Son Pinewood Derby
On Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. CTW will be hosting a pinewood derby at the Dominguez barn. Pinewood kits are available in the Narthex, and we ask that sons (not fathers) do most of the work on the cars. Of course, fathers will need to do some of the trickier work, but we hope each of the cars will have been mostly built by our young men. If you have friends or family members you believe would like to participate, feel free to invite them. More information will be coming soon. Stay tuned!
Easter Sunday Nursery
Nursery volunteers are needed for the Easter Sunday (April 8) worship service (there is no Sunday school). Please see Marcia James if you are able to help.
Choir Singers
We are once again inviting singers to join our choir for the Easter morning service on April 8. Rehearsals will be held following the morning services STARTING TODAY! If you are interested, please meet this morning after the service in the fellowship hall for our first rehearsal.
Changed Life Seminar
The pre-registration for the seminar is closed but you can still register at the door next Saturday morning. No lunch will be provided however. The speaker will be Jan Silvious and the place is Emmanuel Baptist Church. If you have questions, please see Diane.
Garbage, Recycling, Windmills, and Homeschoolers
On Thursday, April 12th, come find out what happens to your garbage! Get a close up look at the BG Windfarm, tour the landfill, and find out how the recycling process works. We will be meeting at the Wood County Landfill at 8:45 a.m. (off Hwy. 6 in Bowling Green) to tour the three facilities. The tour will last until lunch time. There is limited space availability, so please contact Rhonda Heyerly A.S.A.P. at 419-822-0132 to make your reservation.
Homeplate 2007 Outreach with the Detroit Tigers
Homeplate 2007 is a great opportunity for LWY boys to hear the Christian testimonies of current and former players from the Detroit Tigers, witness an on-field baseball clinic, and then enjoy a great game between division rivals Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers. The cost for this event is $22. This cost includes game ticket ($20 value), $5 food ticket, souvenirs, baseball clinic and testimonies, and lots of fun together. The deadline for reserving your space and submitting payment is Wednesday, March 21.
Kits for Camichines
We are collecting hygiene items for the people and children of Camichines Mexico. There are bins in the narthex for you to place your toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, nail files, combs and washcloths. Support your mission team and especially the people to whom they will minister God’s love.
Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting
The Wednesday evening prayer meeting will begin meeting every two weeks. The next meeting will be this week, March 21. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Welcome Our New Members
In today’s service we will be welcoming our newest class of members. They are: Paul & Christie Delamater, Bill & Angela Hite, Jeff & Shelley Schriner, Craig & Tai French. Several young men and women have been admitted to the Lord’s Table as well: Riley Schriner, Benjamin Zellers, Joshua Zellers, Jonathan Zellers, and Korah Brady.
Homeschool Bowling is Cancelled
The upcoming homeschool bowling outing has been cancelled. Those interested in rescheduling should contact Cheryl Bayly.
Volunteer to Write About a CTW Missionary
A good way to learn about a CTW missionary is to read about them, but a great way to get to know them is to contact them yourself and learn first hand from them about their experiences in the mission field and beyond. Then if you want to share what you have discovered with others you are greatly encouraged to write about them. This would enable everyone to know the CTW missionaries better. If you would like more information or this is of interest to you please contact Scott Killy or Michelle Holder.
CTW Cookbook
Love our youth? Do you desire to help them without reaching for your wallet? Here’s your chance! We are beginning the last push to collect recipes and tips for a cooking book of CTW (Which we think you will L-O-V-E too). We could really use recipes for snacks, side dishes, breads, green salads that have their own dressings, appetizers, low fat, diabetic, and beef main dishes. Of course, we will happily receive recipes in any category! Also, to make this book special, we will be including a short blurb explaining why you like the recipe, so please tell us that! Recipes can be handwritten or typed and submitted to Ashley Forney, Elizabeth Bayly, or Lynnette Killy, email: lynnettek@sbcglobal.net. Thank you for your support!
