May 2: Joint Prayer Meeting With Christian Fellowship
On Wednesday, May 2 we will join with Christian Fellowship to participate in the National Day of Prayer. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. we will enjoy a potluck dinner (please bring a main course casserole and/or a dessert or salad). At 7:00 we will begin a service of prayer.
Comb Sunday! Comb Sunday! Next Week Is Comb Sunday!
We need 842 combs to reach out goal of a comb for each of 1000 hygiene kits for the people of Carmichines. Won’t you help us. Visit your choice of dollar store this week and pickup a couple of packages of combs. If each family did that we would make our goal.
CTW Co-Ed Softball Team Sign-Up
After a five year hiatus, CTW is putting together another softball team. This time the team will be coed and will compete in the upper division of the WPOS softball league. Because this is a competitive league, we are seeking players who have experience playing competitive softball. This league is not for the casual player. Games are likely to be on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and will be played at WPOS Christian Center located on Angola Rd. in Holland OH. Consider using your softball skills to compete this season and sign-up in the Narthex immediately following worship. Please contact Mario Dominguez with any questions you might have.
June 21-24: CTW Family Camping Trip
Mark your calendars now for the Christ the Word Family Camping Trip at East Harbor State Park. The church has reserved 48 sites in the group camping area from Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24. We will begin taking reservations in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please see Mike Ahrendt with any questions.
Tea With Mary Lou: Saturday, April 28 at Mary Lou Bayly’s Home
You still have a couple of days to let Diane know if you would like to have tea with Mary Lou Bayly and Doris German while hearing about a resource for evangelistic Bible studies called Neighborhood Bible Studies. Mrs. Bayly had been involved in this series of studies for a number of years before moving to Waterville. She would love to tell you about this method of Bible study.
Biblical Counseling Ministry Opportunity
The Biblical Counseling Ministry of Paul and Maddie Walburg is offering training to equip you in your personal ministry opportunities. This training is for all Christians: workers, youth workers, elders, small group leaders, students. The topic for the training is “When Desires Don’t Take No for an Answer” (Cravings and Addictions) which will be held on Thursday, April 26th. You must RSVP if you plan to attend by tomorrow April 23rd to Paul Walburg (419-537-8001). The cost is $10.
Homeschool Field Trip To Fossil Park In Sylvania
Join us as we search for Trilobites and Brachiopods! Tour includes a 20 minute presentation and 40 minute fossil search on Thursday, May 3rd at 1 p.m. Cost is $1/child. RSVP to Renee Drees by April 29th.

Children’s Church Ministry Opportunity

Help with Home Repairs
The deacons would like to facilitate home repairs for those who have a need and are unable to meet it themselves. If you have such a need and would like the deacons to facilitate help, please contact Fred Walls or fill out the Connections Card, specifying “home repairs” in the “Others (specify)” box.
Meijer Reward Card Changes
The Living Word Youth would like to thank those of you who have participated and helped us raise funds by using your Meijer Reward Cards. As of May 1, 2007, due to changes that Meijer is making in the program, we will no longer be participating in their rewards program. Please continue to use them until the end of April. Again, we thank you for your support!
Creation Sunday School Class
The Creation and Origins class will be focussed over the next 2 weeks on the events surrounding the Flood. We will be addressing such questions as “Was there animal death before the fall?” “How was the pre-flood world different from the post flood world?” “Are all the fossils a result of the Flood?” It is not too late to attend the class. We start at 9:00 AM on Sundays in the Sanctuary.
