April 21: Father/Son Pinewood Derby
On Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. CTW will be hosting a pinewood derby at the Dominguez barn. Pinewood kits are available in the Narthex, and we ask that sons (not fathers) do most of the work on the cars. Of course, fathers will need to do some of the trickier work, but we hope each of the cars will have been mostly built by our young men. If you have friends or family members you believe would like to participate, feel free to invite them. More information will be coming soon. If you need a kit, please contact Steve Altman.

June 21-24: CTW Family Camping Trip
Mark your calendars now for the Christ the Word Family Camping Trip at East Harbor State Park. The church has reserved 48 sites in the group camping area from Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24. We will begin taking reservations in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please see Mike Ahrendt with any questions.

Your W.O.W. monthly morsel is available for you to pick up in the box on the table in the Narthex. Just a reminder that there is a new purple bag for you each month.

Kits for Camichines
Help!! The CTW mission participants need your help to collect hygiene items for the people of Carmichines. How can you help? Please see the chart in the narthex at the collection table to see the items you might donate to the kits. If all of us work together we will be able to supply these much needed items. Also we are saving vitamins and other OTC drugs to take with us. Pick up a flyer on the same table.

Help with Home Repairs
The deacons would like to facilitate home repairs for those who have a need and are unable to meet it themselves. If you have such a need and would like the deacons to facilitate help, please contact Fred Walls or fill out the Connections Card, specifying “home repairs” in the “Others (specify)” box.

The Creation and Origins class will be focussed over the next 3 weeks on the events surrounding the Flood. We will be addressing such questions as “Was there animal death before the fall?” “How was the pre-flood world different from the post flood world?” “Are all the fossils a result of the Flood?” It is not too late to attend the class. We start at 9:00 AM on Sundays in the Sanctuary.
