June 10 Bulletin Announcements
Evening Service Tonight
Rev. Yongjin Kim from Hanmi Covenant Presbyterian Church in Toledo will be preaching during our evening service tonight. Please come to hear the word preached and to fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Name Tags For June
Last year it was “Name Tags for Mud”...to help David’s mother Mary Lou (affectionately called Mud by her sons) get to know the names of everybody in the congregation. This year it is “Name Tags for June”...a double entendre for the month of June and our very own June Edmunds. As you enter the Narthex today please fill out a name tag and wear it for the entirety of the morning. We will repeat the same procedure for the following Sundays in June. Thanks!
Come Swing in the Jungle as Backyard Bible Clubs (BYBC) begin Tomorrow
The Simpson BYBC begins tomorrow and lasts through Friday. It is from 10 a.m. - Noon each day. We encourage all kids age 4 through grade 6 to attend and bring their friends! We do ask that all CTW children only attend one club as the theme, Jungle Jaunt, is the same for each club. Please be praying God that might use this club as well as the others this Summer to bring others to salvation. For Simpson BYBC information contact 419.823.3318.
June 21-24: CTW Family Camping Trip
Mark your calendars now for the Christ the Word Family Camping Trip at East Harbor State Park. The church has reserved 48 sites in the group camping area from Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24. Please see the larger announcement in the bulletin.
Attention Ladies of CTW!
Please join us for a wedding shower in honor of Emily Hardin and her upcoming marriage to Jason Wiltse. The brunch will be held on Saturday, June 16th from 10-12 am at Christian Fellowship of Toledo South. Please see Bianca Altman. Gift ideas for the bride and groom can be found on their registry at Bed, Bath and Beyond or Target. Gift cards toward furniture purchases from Ikea would also be greatly appreciated. Maps and directions will be posted on the CTW homepage. We will look forward to celebrating with you.
Vitamins For Mexico
Help! We are currently 15,000 vitamins below our need for the 2007 Mission Trip to Camichines. Our goal of 30,000 vitamins must be met to ensure that each man, woman and child in the village gets a one month supply of a good quality multivitamin with minerals. Please consider sponsoring a 1,000 tablet bottle of prescription quality vitamins. These vitamins can be purchased through Michelle Holder for $20. Please see Michelle or Kevin (419.531.5318 or holderpharm@sbcglobal.net). Thanks!
Lemonade and Lightning Bugs
Our June time of fellowship will take place this Thursday, June 14th in Cindy Skaff’s lovely backyard. We will be meeting at 8:00 p.m. to spend some time together as women of CTW. Please remember to bring a lawn chair and leave the children with dad.
W.O.W. Retreat Registration
Registration packets and gift bags regarding the retreat in September are available in the Narthex for CTW women college age and above following today’s service. Please stop by and pick up yours today.
Kits for Carmachines
Thank you so very much church family for all your outstanding efforts in providing the needed hygiene articles for the kits for the people of Carmachines. It will be our mission team’s pleasure and your prayer support that will complete the goal of passing them out along with a Spanish track.
Summer WOW Bible Studies
There is still room for you at the two studies starting this month. Michelle Holder’s study started this past week on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m., but you are welcome to join them. Please see Michelle. The last study of the summer will start the end of June on Friday the 29th at Lynnette Killey’s home at 10:00 a.m. They will be using the book Humility: The Forgotten Virtue by Wayne Mack and Joshua Mack. See Diane if you are interested.
