Sept. 2: CTW Picnic & Concert at Camp Miakonda
So you’re going to be at the CTW picnic at Camp Miakonda, but do you know what you’ll be listening to while you’re there? Well, besides the joy filled screams of our children as they watch Mr. Killy shred apart a Slip-n-Slide with his bare chest, you’ll be hearing some original praise music written and performed by our very talented youth, along with some of our other favorite tunes performed by the older folks that wield instruments. In other words, you’ll be hearing a concert!
Pastors College Students To Teach Fall Sunday School Classes
There will be two adult classes offered this fall. Both classes will be taught by the third year students of our Pastors College. Steve Altman and Tim Varner will be leading a class on 1 & 2 Samuel. Scott Killy and Jason Wiltse will be leading a class on the book of 2 Corinthians. The locations for these classes will be announced later.

Toledo International Hospitality Program
We have the opportunity again this year to participate in the University of Toledo’s International Hospitality Program. The program connects local families with university students from oversees for the purpose of friendship and cross-cultural learning. It is also a great opportunity to share the gospel. Monthly meetings for meals, conversation, sightseeing and recreation are encouraged. There is no commitment to provide housing or financial support. Please pick up a flier in the narthex or speak with the Wesenbergs for more details.
Homeschool Family Conference
The Encouragement for the Homeschool Family Conference with The Maxwell Family will be held September 10th (7-9:30 p.m.) at Christian Fellowship of Toledo, in Holland, Ohio. There is no cost for the conference, but a love offering box will be available to help with the Maxwells’ traveling expenses. Topics are for men, women, parents, teens and pre-teens/elementary children who can sit quietly. Pre-registration is requested. For more information on the conference, please visit www.Titus2.com, and click Conferences on the side bar, or e-mail/call Julie Van Wormer at bvwormer@bex.net or 419.537.7008.

Homeschool Activities
On Sept. 17, the homeschoolers are invited to attend a seminar on native animals at the W. W. Knight Center from 1:30 to 3:30. For more information and to RSVP, contact Janet Anderson.
Do You Have A Three-Year-Old?
As the elders and deacons work on spacing issues with the nursery and have asked parents to keep their 3 year old children with them, we would like to remind everyone that children’s church is for children ages 4 to 6 years old. The curriculum and structure is designed specifically for children in this age range. If you have further questions about children’s church please contact Lynnette Killy or Bianca Altman.
Please Update Email Addresses
Recently there have been emails sent out to church attendees and members in an effort to communicate specific details of matters that are important to the congregation. As a result of these emails being sent it has come to our attention that many email addresses need to be updated. We would appreciate your using the connections card to update email addresses so that we might better communicate with you in the future.
Deacon of the Day
This Sunday’s “Deacon of the Day” is Steve Altman. Next week: Marc Brunner.
