Announcements from September 16 Bulletin

Evening Service Tonight
Hunter Turner will be preaching the Word tonight during our evening service. Also, we will have a report from our summer medical mission trip to Guadalajara.
Note: The summer trial period for suspending the snacks after Sunday evening worship has been extended by the elders. We know that some of you will be disappointed but this decision was motivated by a few factors. We benefited from the extra seating capacity during worship and the increased orderliness of our fellowship time. It also shows respect to the SDA congregation by keeping their building clean.

Cookbooks for Sale
Finally, the exciting part, the finished product! Christ the Word Cookbooks are available for $13.00. The money will go into the Living Word Youth fund for later use, most likely for future mission trips. They will be available for sale at the Ladies Retreat this weekend as well as at Wednesday night youth group meetings. You could also swing by the Killy homestead to buy one as this is where the “storehouses of cookbooks” are kept! Please make checks payable to “Living Word Youth”. Thank you for your support!

Pastors College Students To Teach Fall Sunday School Classes
There will be two adult classes offered this fall. Both classes will be taught by the third year students of our Pastors College. Steve Altman and Tim Varner will be leading a class on 1 & 2 Samuel. Scott Killy and Jason Wiltse will be leading a class on the book of 2 Corinthians. The Samuel class will be located in the sanctuary and the Corinthians class will be located in the classroom near the end of the education wing.

Toledo International Hospitality Program
We have the opportunity again this year to participate in the University of Toledo’s International Hospitality Program. The program connects local families with university students from oversees for the purpose of friendship and cross-cultural learning. It is also a great opportunity to share the gospel. Monthly meetings for meals, conversation, sightseeing and recreation are encouraged. There is no commitment to provide housing our financial support. Please pick up a flier in the narthex or speak with the Wesenbergs for more details.
