Announcements from October 7th Bulletin

Evening Service Tonight
Tim Varner will be preaching the Word tonight at our evening service. We will meet in the fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m.

Benevolence Offering Today
Near the close of our service this morning we will be taking up a benevolence offering. This offering is used by the deacons to meet various financial needs within the congregation.

Please Sign Up For The Blood Drive
CTW and the SDA Church are joining together to help our local community collect blood that at times this years has fallen dangerously low in supply. This is a great opportunity to help save lives. The blood drive is in the fellowship hall from 2:30 - 7:30 pm on Sunday, Oct. 14 and there is at least one slot (sometimes two) every 15 minutes during the drive. Please see Keith Beerbower TODAY in the Narthex after the service to sign-up. We must have at least 25 people sign-up. The Beerbower home number is 419-861-1511 or you can contact the church office at 419-329-1100.

WOW Cocoa and Conversation
Only a week and a half until our fall fellowship time, Cocoa and Conversation, will take place at the home of Sally Wright. We will meet on Tuesday October 16th at 8:00 pm. This fellowship is for women only; no little cocoa drinkers allowed!

WOW Monthly Morsel
Women please stop by the table in the narthex to pick up this month’s challenge for you. You will find the challenges in small individual purple bags in a beautifully decorated box.

Winter Retreat Need
Some Living Word Youth (LWY) members are seeking opportunities to earn their way to go on the Winter Retreat. They are very willing to work for hire if someone has work for them to do or if someone is in a position to sponsor them. Sponsors can also choose to have them work for someone else. Any opportunities would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to hire youth or sponsor them to work for someone else please contact Scott Killy at 419-329-1100.

Cherry St. Mission Thanksgiving Food Drive
As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, the Deacons of CTW and the Living Word Youth will be hosting a food drive for the Cherry St. Mission from October 14th-28th. This is a small way to bless others, as the LORD has richly blessed us and as such, this is another opportunity in which to serve beyond our tithing and benevolence offerings. Cherry St. will gladly accept all kinds of foods: canned, non-perishable, perishable and even foods that need to be refrigerated. Food can be dropped off at the church during Sunday mornings or Monday through Saturday from 10 am till 7 pm at the Divine Nutrition Store (5950 Airport Hwy, Toledo, OH 43615) owned by Mario Dominguez. Volunteers from the Living Word Youth will go and serve at the Cherry St. Mission by sorting and packing food that comes in. If you have food that is perishable, or that needs to be refrigerated please contact Hunter Turner @ 419-490-6865.

The money will go into the Living Word Youth fund for later use, most likely for future mission trips. They will be available for sale at the Hoedown, Oct. 13, as well as at Wednesday night youth group meetings.
