Tonight: Evening Service, Testimonies, and Ice Cream
Tonight, our evening service will take place in the SDA fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Dionne will talk about life as a teacher in the Pastors College and several people will give testimonies about their joy in the Lord this year. Following the service we will be having an Ice Cream Social: ice cream and toppings will be supplied.

January Evening Services
During our two January evening services, David will be preaching on discipline in the context of the home. All families—particularly those with young children—are encouraged to attend. On January 6th, we will also hear an update from Michelle Holder about our After School Clubs.

Sunday School Classes Will Meet On 23rd
We will be having Sunday school classes on the morning of Dec. 23rd.

Christmas Choir Rehearsal Today
All adults and children singing in the Christmas choirs should come to a rehearsal this afternoon in the sanctuary. Adults should arrive at 4:30, and children should come at 5:45. Since this is our final rehearsal before the runthrough next Sunday morning, it is important that you attend. Thank you!

New Year’s Eve Talent Show
On Dec. 31st Christ the Word will gather together to usher in the new year. The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. and continue to just after midnight. The talent show will commence at 7:30 p.m. If you have a special talent, fun act, or skit and would like to participate in the talent show, please contact Tim Varner, Jason Wiltse, or the Turner brothers ASAP. Please bring games to play after the talent show and before the beginning of 2008!

CTW Baby Shower
CTW Baby Shower for Tai French will be held on Saturday January 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Lisa Dominguez’s home. Craig and Tai have registered at Target and Babies R Us.

Upcoming Interim Sunday School Classes
Our 3-week Interim Sunday school classes will begin on January 13. In addition to a membership class, we will be offering a class on three women of the Bible. Jordan Daughtery, Matt French and Robin Kepler will each take a week, covering Deborah, Abigail, and Mary. If you are interested in attending the membership class, please let Pastor Dionne know by calling the church office (419.329.1100).

Pastoral Appreciation Christmas Gift
This Christmas Christ the Word will be collecting gift donations for Pastors Bayly, Dionne, and Killy. Envelopes in which you may place your donations will be available for the next several weeks; please mark each envelope with recipient’s name before placing it in the collection plate. If you want the donation to be tax deductible, please write a check made payable to Christ the Word.

Usher Meeting Today
There will be a brief meeting of the ushers in the Fellowship Hall after services today. Please plan to attend. It should take no more than 15 minutes.

This Sunday’s “Deacon of the Day” is Keith Beerbower. Next week: Paul Drees.
