New Year’s Eve Talent Show
To go along with our fun talent show we are asking families and individuals to bring finger foods to share with others. To ensure that we have plenty of food for our celebration please bring a dish or dishes that would feed your family if you were staying at home on New Year’s Eve. We would also like a good mix of savory appetizers and desserts. Consider this your opportunity to try out a new recipe for your next party at home. Check out the Christ the Word cookbook under appetizers for ideas if you need some. Drinks will be provided. The festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Talent Show at 7:30 p.m.

January Evening Services
During our two January evening services, David will be preaching on discipline in the context of the home. All families—particularly those with young children—are encouraged to attend. On January 6th, we will also hear an update from Michelle Holder about our After School Clubs.

CTW Baby Shower
CTW Baby Shower for Tai French will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Lisa Dominguez’s home. Craig and Tai have registered at Target and Babies R Us.

W.O.W. Cocoa & Conversation
Hungry for some adult women’s conversation in the dead of winter? Put the kiddles to bed and join other women from CTW for just that, conversation and a cup of cocoa, on Tuesday, January 15th at Marcia James’ home. We’ll begin at 8:00 p.m.

Upcoming Interim Sunday School Classes
Our 3-week Interim Sunday school classes will begin on January 13. In addition to a membership class, we will be offering a class on three women of the Bible. Jordan Daughtery, Matt French and Robin Kepler will each take a week, covering Deborah, Abigail, and Mary. If you are interested in attending the membership class, please let Pastor Dionne know by calling the church office (419.329.1100).

Pastoral Appreciation Christmas Gift
This Christmas Christ the Word will be collecting gift donations for Pastors Bayly, Dionne, and Killy. Envelopes in which you may place your donations will be available for the next several weeks; please mark each envelope with recipient’s name before placing it in the collection plate. If you want the donation to be tax deductible, please write a check made payable to Christ the Word.

Usher Meeting Today
There will be a brief meeting of the ushers in the Fellowship Hall after services today. Please plan to attend. It should take no more than 15 minutes.

Deacon of the Day
This Sunday’s “Deacon of the Day” is Paul Drees. Next week: Steve Altman.
