TODAY!: CTW Picnic & Concert at Camp Miakonda
So you’re going to be at the CTW picnic at Camp Miakonda, but do you know what you’ll be listening to while you’re there? Well, besides the joy filled screams of our children as they watch Mr. Killy shred apart a Slip-n-Slide with his bare chest, you’ll be hearing some original praise music written and performed by our very talented youth, along with some of our other favorite tunes performed by the older folks that wield instruments. In other words, you’ll be hearing a concert!

Just in from the Thorntons...

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for posting our prayer request on the web page. Right now we are scrambling to make necessary arrangements to go to Vienna as the insurance company and a local dr determined this was the best place to get the medical care Julia needs. From what I understand from Andy Folley and the drs here, they will induce her and she will deliver the baby. There is some risk of hemorraging which is the reason they are sending us to Vienna. That is all for now. I will update you when I can.

Love,

Jamie

Please Pray for the Thorntons

Marc and Renee Brunner received a call from Jamie and Julia Thornton this morning with difficult news. Julia has lost her baby and has requested prayer. Though I have not spoken with the Thorntons, I'm sure this loss will be doubly difficult with the medical care in the Ukraine. If you haven't been following Julia's diary, you will find a chronicle of her recent trips to the doctor:

Please lift up our dear brother and sister in prayer.

Flooded Findlay

Zachary Rethorn writes from Findlay:

Hi everyone, Jonathan got one of his photos published in the Courier, the Findlay newspaper, today! His is the big one on the top of A6. I also got one of my photos as the NBC 24 photo of the day. Unfortunately, the Courier did not post Jonathan’s photo online, but NBC has mine on their front page toward the bottom. If you’d like to see all the photos I took during the flooding check out the Flickr account. Just thought you might be interested.

Check out Zachary's Flickr page. He has a number of interesting pictures of the flooding south of Toledo there.

Thankfully, the Rethorns are themselves on high ground safe from the flooding.
