July 6: Benevolence Collection
Each month during the first worship service of the month, the Deacon Board collects a benevolence offering. This collection is used primarily to help those in the congregation with pressing needs. During the past few months, several needs have come up, and the Deacon Board would like to encourage you to prayfully consider making a generous contribution in July.

CTW Family Camp Outing: June 26-29
Our 2nd Annual family camping trip is scheduled Thursday, June 26th – Sunday, June 29th. We will be camping at East Harbor State Park. The cost per family is $20 a night and covers the campsite cost only. Families should bring their own food and supplies. Families can choose to stay as many as three nights or as few as one, or if you are unable to stay the night please feel free to come up and spend a day in fellowship. CTW will hold worship services at both the state park and at our normal location in Toledo. You can begin SIGNING-UP NOW on the CTW Website Events page by clicking the “Sign Up For Events” link near the top of the page. You will likely have to add your name and create a password, but this will enable you to sign-up for future events using this same information.

4th of July Evangelism
Our annual 4th of July water distribution is actually on July 3rd this year because we will be witnessing in Perrysburg at Fort Meigs. This location provides easier access to people than downtown Toledo and is a great place to view the Perrysburg/Maumee fireworks display. Our job each year is to hand out free bottled water and a tract with an introduction to the gospel message and information about our church. Plan to arrive no later than 8:00 p.m. with a wagon and a cooler (extra coolers and wagons are also appreciated). See Matthew French or Tim Barton for more information.

July 12: Bayly Open House
The Bayly family would like to invite any family or individuals that began attending Christ the Word during the last 12 months into their home for a time of fellowship. If weather permits feel free to bring your bathing suits for swimming. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. The time is from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 12. The Bayly home is located at 6944 N. River Rd in Waterville.

W.O.W. Iron 2 Iron
Our CTW women’s summer reading group will be meeting, Tuesday, June 24th at Diane Walls’ home for tea and discussion. The selection this month is Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. We will gather together at 7 p.m. Keep reading!

Typically, this is a Sr. High event, but due to many families on vacation during this time, the Amazing Race is open to all Jr. High. Please contact Jennifer as soon as possible if you would like to come!

July 25-27: College/Sr. High Men’s Trip to the U.P.

The cost is $65 and includes travel and food. Please see Hunter Turner for more information.

Do You Shop At Kroger?
You can help the Living Word Youth Group by puchasing a $5 gift card and recharging it to use for your food and gas purchases at Kroger. Kroger will give LWY 5% of your recharges. It doesn’t cost any extra! Please see Rhonda Heyerly for details and to buy a card.
