Maundy Thursday Thanksgiving Feast

The elders of Christ the Word would like to invite you (members and frequent attenders) to our Maundy Thursday celebration. The event will be held at Nazareth Hall and a dinner will be provided. Through fellowshipping and bringing our thanksgiving before Him, we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the joy and hope that He has given to His beloved, the Church. You have one small assignment: we ask you to think about what you are specifically thankful for so that you may share it and praise the Lord before the assembly.

Nazareth Hall is located at: 21211 W. River Road (Rt. 65) Grand Rapids, OH 43522. The celebration starts at 6:30 p.m on Thursday, March 20.

Please fill out the connection this Sunday and tell us your name, number attending, and the age of your children. Please write “Maundy Thursday” on the top of the card.

You may also register online here.

If you did not receive a booklet on the topic of prayer last Sunday to prepare for the February 23rd WOW Prayer Event please pick up a copy on the table in the narthex or see Michelle Vrlenich or Diane Walls. This booklet has been prepared for you to look at the scriptures and consider the topic of prayer individually before you come to the event on that Saturday. If you so choose, you can write out your answers to the questions in the booklet. The committee thought this preparation beforehand would be a good way to prepare your heart and mind to hear from the Lord concerning your prayer life.
