Announcements from Sept. 28 Bulletin

Oct. 11: Hoedown
CTW’s annual Hoedown will take place at the Heyerly home (8084 County Rd C, Delta, OH 43515) on Saturday, Oct. 11. Kids games and fellowship will begin at 3:00 p.m.; dinner will be served around 5:00 p.m.; dance will commence after dinner. Singles/Couples are asked to bring one side dish; families are asked to bring two side dishes. Table service and drinks will be provided.

Lost & Found Table Today
If you have lost anything at church or at a recent or not so recent church event please check out the items on the table in the narthex. You might find what you’re looking for.

CTW Volleyball Team
There is an opening on Monday evenings for a Co-ed Power Volleyball Team and openings for Co-ed Fun Leagues on Tuesday or Thursday evenings in the WPOS Volleyball league. All partipants must be 18 or older, except for two players who may be ages 16 or 17. Anyone interested in joining the vollyball team or in coaching please contact Scott Killy at skilly@christtheword.com.

We recognize that as fuel costs go up, so also everything else rises including various LWY events. We want to keep planning many enjoyably godly events while at the same time keeping costs down. WOW Magnets
If you were unable to receive a WOW refrigerator magnet at our Fall Event yesterday, please pick up yours in the basket on the table in the narthex. Listed on the magnet are all the dates for WOW Events for the next nine months.

WOW Cocoa & Conversation
Our October fellowship time for the evening will take place on Wednesday October 15 at 8:00 p.m. at the home of Sally Gaurin-Sylvester. She lives in the Lost Peninsula area right on the Maumee bay. Put the date on your calendar and plan to attend.

Oct. 31-Nov. 2: Semper Ref College Student / Young Professional Fall Retreat
Semper Reformanda has invited other area churches to join us on this reformation weekend retreat. Brochures that are on the Welcome Center table contain registration forms that are due TONIGHT. Ask Jen Brusoe or Tim Varner your questions, or semperreftoledo@gmail.com.

Two Services Begin on Sunday, November 9
On November 9th we will begin holding two morning services. The start times for the services and Sunday school are as follows: 1st Service: 8:30 a.m. Sunday school: 10:00 a.m. 2nd Service: 11:15 a.m.

Choir Rehearsal TODAY
Choir members as well as prospective choir members should meet TODAY immediately following the morning service in the fellowship hall today and every Sunday following at the same time. We will start rehearsing music for the first Sunday of October.

WOW Fall Event: Ordering Your Priorities
On Saturday, September 27th we are planning for the women of CTW a day of challenge around God’s Word. Sarah French will be speaking about putting God first; Adrienne Miklovic will follow with a challenge to serve your husband; Barb Oostra and Shelley Schriner will teach us what living productively can look like. We look forward to a time of teaching and fellowship. A light lunch will be served by Semper Ref.

Men’s Prayer Meeting
The men of CTW are invited to meet at Matt French’s workplace for lunch and prayer every Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. Amps Industrial Control is located at 1560 Holloway Rd, Holland, OH 43528. Bring along your lunch and be prepared to pray for one another and our church.

WOW “Party At Panera’s”
This coming Thursday, September 18th, our first “Party at Panera’s” will take place at noon at the Panera’s on Glendale across from UT Medical Center. If you always want to have lunch with the ladies now is your chance. This is open to all the women of CTW and nursing babies.

Homeschool Outing
The first homeschool outing of the year is this Thursday, September 11. We are heading to Grand Rapids for a tour of the city hall (10:00 a.m.), pack your own picnic lunch and play at a park, a trip on the Maumee River via The Canal Experience (12:45 p.m.) and a visit to the historic Isaac Ludwig Mill. Cost for canal boat tickets: $6 adults, $5 members and seniors (60 and over), $3 children (3 to 12), ages two and under free. Mill and city hall tours are free. R.S.V.P. today to Rebekah Wing to secure your spot.

Announcements from August 31 Bulletin

Men’s Pathway At The Dionne Garage
On the first and third Saturday mornings of each month at 7:00 a.m. (beginning Sept. 6) men of Christ the Word (and young men in high school) are invited to the upper story of the Dionne garage (827 Harrow Road) to worship the Lord and study His Word. Our mornings will begin with a tall cup of coffee and vigorous worship music. Each week as we look at the life of God’s servant Moses we will be challenged to live as godly men in our homes, at our workplaces, and in our church. In addition to following Moses’ life through the books of Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, we will spend a number of weeks in the Ten Commandments. Please bring along any friends and neighbors you think would benefit from being around men who desire to be God’s men.

New Children’s Sunday School Classes Begin Sept. 7
New children’s Sunday school classes will begin Sunday, Sept. 7. Maps for class locations will be handed out that morning. For questions and more information, please contact Adrienne Miklovic.

Fall Interim Sunday School Classes
Fall Interim Sunday school classes begin on September 7 and will run for three weeks. Matt Miklovic will be teaching a class entitled “Incredible Communion: Life Changing Communion with a Triune God.” There will also be a membership class. If you are interested in attending the membership class, please contact Andrew Dionne.

Aug. 31: Reformed Evangelical Pastors College Graduation
During our morning worship service on Aug. 31 we will be celebrating the graduation of the first class of REPC students. Steve Altman and Scott Killy have completed all the requirements and will be receiving their diplomas. Praise God for their accomplishment and lift up to the Lord their continuing ministries!

Walk For Life
