For to us a child is born,to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9: 6

Seeking wisdom is a common theme in the world. One can walk through any bookstore or peruse blogs on the internet to find hundreds and hundreds of books or articles on wisdom.

The problem is where wisdom is being sought.

The world seeks wisdom in the world:  self-help books, newspapers,  blog columnists, friends or T.V. talk show hosts.

Isaiah lists exactly where we can find wisdom and seek counsel.  It is with our Wonderful Counselor. He knows all and sees all.  His plans are perfect and holy. He is faithful and constant in an changing world.

Where are you seeking wisdom today? Who do you run to first when you are perplexed or unclear about something you are facing?  Do you seek others and temporal, worldly wisdom first or do you seek The Wonderful Counselor?

If you are struggling with a challenge and need wisdom, take time to seek God and pray, asking for wisdom.

  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

James 1:5

Then rest in our Wonderful Counselor!

Love,  Julie
